About

I started gaming quite recently, and I was taken aback by its relatability with writing. What was supposed to be a temporary distraction turned into micro-lessons about writing. This blog is dedicated to those lessons.

As writers we are always looking for the right inspiration. Some of us are worriesd by the idea that AI will replace our work, while others are losing originality due to over-reliance on AI. I have been through both the phases and more. I was trying to practice all the things that’s supposed to help or inspire – read, go for walks, watch “good” cinema, and write more. But it wasn’t enough.

Maybe sometimes, inspirations comes from the most unfamiliar places and for me that was gaming.

Then, after a surgery, a close friend suggested I play a few games to distract myself. I did, and it opened up a whole new world. I’m not a seasoned gamer (not even close), but as someone who loves a good story—whether in a book, a film, or a song—I was immediately drawn to narrative style games that immerse you into their world.

Some of these games got me more interested in writing. It showed me how some simple techniques can not only help you write better but also enage your readers in more than one way.

That is the purpose of this blog. If you are a writer who needs a fresh perspective on writing, or a gamers to who wants games to have influential value, or if you are someone who simply loves stories, this blog is for you.

Go ahead. Press start to write!
